Vallantica Tacconi-Ottelio, overlooks an area of out standing beauty and ancient relics. The property is located near San Gemini, a famous thermal village, well known for the homonymous mineral water brand, a water renowned for its recognized qualities as coadjuvant for health and well-being thanks to the biochemical characteristics derived from the natural and pristine habitat of the mountains Monti Martani, place of source of this special water. But San Gemini is especially renowned for the singular beauty of the medieval Old Town, well preserved and characterized by morphology and aspects typical of that era. The inhabited part of San Gemini rises on the ruins of a small settlement from the Roman era, along the ancient Via Flaminia. The church of St. Nicholas, the church of St. Francis, the church of St. John and the Roman Gate “la Porta Romana” are the main buildings of historic and artistic interest in the Umbrian town.
About 4 km away from San Gemini there are considerable rests of another ancient Roman settlement, Carsulae, with origins dating back to pre-Roman era, along the future Via Flaminia, on the border between the territories of the municipality Interamna Nahars (Terni) and Casventum (San Gemini). Abandoned already in ancient times as a result of grave landslides, today it is still partly buried under several meters of land.
A few kilometres away, there are the Water Falls Cascata delle Marmore, a controlled water flow among the highest in Europe, a human masterpiece of interaction and symbiotic relationship with nature, dating back to the Roman era.
Besides the spectacle provided by the rivers Velino and Nera, the area of the Water Falls Cascata delle Marmore offers visitors the opportunity to visit a wide hiking area, formed by a natural park and 5 paths of varying length and difficulty.
A range of opportunities designed for a vast public: from children to adults and seniors, from young couples to families with children, single persons or organized groups, including elements like fun, educational, sports, science and nature that increase the value of the whole area of Valnerina.
Onlya few kilometres from Vallantica there is Narni, a pre-Roman settlement and witness for the course of history thanks to its geographical position, nowadays, a typical medieval town with various monuments and attractions. Narni Underground, suggestive and thus of particular tourist attraction, a real gem for those who love art and history, offers the possibility of guided tours to discover the ancient underground areas.

Terni, situated a few kilometres from Vallantica, is the second municipality in Umbria, well known for its steelworks that enabled the Industrial Development of the city and also for its Saint San Valentino, protector of all lovers, once the city's bishop, whose remains are preserved in the Basilica in Terni, that bears his name.
Events like Cantamaggio, a feast to inaugurate the month of May, Terni Jazz, Kaos and other events promoted by socio-cultural associations contribute to make the city attractive and alive.
